About

Jesse Vipond

Jesse Vipond, AKA “The Singing Realtor,” has gone from new agent to Top-10 producer in NEPA in less than five years. Built on a solid work ethic, strong moral compass, effective communication, and a great hook, Jesse has developed a clientele and fan base with a system that helps take the anxiety out of the home buying and selling process. Hell, you might even have a little fun along the way! However, real estate wasn’t Jesse’s first love. In fact, you could say he took a rather circuitous route to the real estate industry.

When he was young, Jesse wanted to be a sports broadcaster. As an avid sports nut, he dreamt of becoming the next Marv Albert or John Madden. This led him to study Communication at The University of Scranton, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2004. But sports and broadcasting were not his only interests.

When he was 12 years old, Jesse got his first guitar. That started a lifelong passion for music and performance that endures to this day. He played in bands with friends throughout middle and high school, but it wasn’t until college that music became a more serious pursuit, forming his first legitimate band, Cosmos Mystery Area, with three close friends. Playing live music opened a new network for Jesse, and he soon found himself working with legendary NEPA band, Mighty Fine Wine, then The Can’t Help Its, and finally, renowned cover band, VibeLine. Those were the days!

However, as is often the case in “local music,” people get older, bands split up, and musicians begin looking for “a real job.” So, he once again enrolled at The University of Scranton, this time for a Master’s degree in Secondary Education. By 2010 he had graduated with a new degree, and a license to teach high school Social Studies and English. But between the intense job competition, and bleak education work environment, Jesse soon realized he wanted something different. Though he loved the idea of helping people solve problems, in the back of his mind he knew he wanted something more independent; more entrepreneurial.

In 2015 Jesse bumped into his old friend, Mike Sparacino, at the Silver Spoon Diner in Clarks Summit, an encounter that changed both of their lives. Among other things, they discussed their shared interest in investment real estate. Soon they created Dalton Dickson Properties and began purchasing multi-family investment properties together. This sparked a new passion for Jesse, who followed Mike in getting his PA Real Estate Salesperson license in 2017.

Jesse always enjoyed the interactive nature of social media platforms, especially Facebook. He began posting videos of himself singing along to songs on the radio from his car (way before that rascal James Cordon!). Lo and behold, people really enjoyed them, even if they were more tongue-in-cheek than serious. As those grew, he used his Facebook business page to market his services, as well as his upcoming listings. As is often the case, what started as a joke began to take on a life of its own when Jesse introduced a new listing as “The Singing Realtor.” A new persona was born.

Today, “The Singing Realtor” is co-owner of DDP Realty, and lives with his wife Bridget, two kids, two dogs, and one cat in North Abington Township, PA. When he’s not working with his clients (hint: he’s *always* working with his clients), Jesse loves being a dad, playing disc golf with his friends, tipping back a few cold ones, and placing the occasional wager on a basketball or football game. And yes, he still plays guitar and sings every single day, much to the chagrin of his wife, and pets.
